2008-2009 G8/GT/GXP Models “IROC Racing” ALUMINUM Hood Hinges Inspired by the IROC Camaros of the mid to late 80’s and early 90, we set out to offer parts for the 2008-2009 G8/GT/GXP models that have a racing heritage to their design.  Factory hood struts wear out needing to be replaced, wreak havoc on fiberglass hoods and are in the way when you’re trying to work in your engine bay.  Time to throw them in the trash and never buy another set. They replace the struts COMPLETELY. Just lift and they lock. Lift again, slide forward and they unlock… We are now in the process of making them for 1993-2002 F-Bodies!!!  They do save some weight but mostly they are WAY easier to work around and save money as you’ll never have to replace a worn out strut again! GREAT for aftermarket fiberglass hoods where stock struts are too strong and warp the fiberglass, these never will!!!! They come in raw aluminum (e-mail us after you buy if you would like them powdercoated or anodized and we can tell you the costs) and are made 100% in the USA.  We try to keep them in stock but please expect 2-4 weeks to ship to be safe.  Thanks!
