Rear Fuel Tank Support Crossmember w/passenger side shock mount attached (ART-139)

Description 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500. This is an OEM style direct replacement for the crossmember located forward of the rear axle that supports the rear end of the gas tank. Detailed installation instructions are included. Our crossmember tubes are made from Heavy Gauge steel and Mandrel bent just like the Original, We DO NOT use Thin Wall Exhaust tubing to make our crossmembers! Pre-welded on the cross tube are the left side inside mount plate, the right-side upper shock mount, the fuel tank strap hanger bracket, and the fuel tank support mount bracket with new bolt included. The two outer end plates and right side inside mount plate, and 2 crossmember end caps are sent loose for ease of installation. We designed this replacement crossmember with the do-it-yourself installer in mind. No need to remove the truck bed, just remove the old shock, remove the fuel tank (always a good idea when welding on a frame!) cut the remaining crossmember away, notch out the frame, slide the replacement in place, weld it solid, and reinstall your tank and new shocks.
