Mid-Rear Frame Section (ART-169X-L) Driver Side

Description Fitment: 2007-2014 2nd gen Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Ext & Crew Cab & 3rd gen GMC Sierra 1500 Ext & Crew Cab Driver Our SafeTCap® ART-169X-L Mid-Rear Frame Section was created to fit both the Ext cab, 2nd gen Silverado 1500, and 3rd gen Sierra 1500. We’ve designed the ART-169 to cap the frame beginning right before the rear cab mount and ending just before the rear fuel tank cross member (ART-139-2). This part is approximately 31″ long and will cap the entire height of the frame leaving only .75″ from the top of the original frame to weld the SafeTCap® frame kit. The ART-169 is designed to be installed without the need to remove the forward bed mount and/or spring mount from your frame, depending on the severity of the rust. The ART-169 has removeable plates to notch around the original spring mount by just continuing the cut lines, see pictures for details. This part was designed to fit the 6.5′ Bed.   PLEASE NOTE:  This part will work on the Long Bed, however there will be trimming necessary around the leaf spring mount for fitment.
