Description Fits Wrangler TJ (199-2002*).   This is the left (driver’s) side part. Wranglers have weld nuts inside the frame rails that secure the skid to the frame. Typically, the bolts are problematic to remove due to rust inside the frame rail When this occurs, access holes are often cut into the side to facilitate the removal of these bolts. This method allows dirt and water to enter, which can collect inside the rails and cause them to rust from the inside out.
