Description This SafeTCap fits directly over the original fuel tank crossmember, allowing you to restore the crossmember attachment point to the frame. It’s made of 11 gauge cold rolled steel, CNC cut and MIG welded by our Certified welders. It extends 6-5/8” onto the crossmember and welds to the inside of the frame rail. To install these end mounts safely the fuel tank should be removed. The bed can be left on. This kit fits on either side of the crossmember for all 1998-2004 Tacoma XtraCab and DoubleCab models with 2WD or 4WD including PreRunner.
