I’ve been looking for matching forks for my long Korean style hollow spoons, and these are a perfect match! They pair well with the ~8.5″ hollow spoons, same size, same polished chrome look, and good quality. I’ve not seen these at the Korean restaurants, and just the spoons… but I wanted to see if there’s a matching offering…. and these are it! Just like the hollow spoons, they are very light, and have a tapered neck towards the tines/prongs. This could be considered a weak point (might bend) for people who press their forks hard into their plates, food, bones, or using the fork for tearing meats or harsh use, etc. These forks are perfectly fine for normal eating of rice, beans, vegs, pasta, fruits, dessert, etc. These are claimed to be made by 201 Stainless Steel, which is fine for spoons and forks. When others say it’s not “food grade”, the term likely means it’s not for use as pots, pans, or storage for corrosive products. 201 stainless steel has less nickel than 304, 314, or 316 which makes it more susceptible to corrosion. Pros: Matches well with hollow handled Korean style forks, longer handle, made from stainless steel, and reasonably priced (about ~$2 each). Cons: These are not the sturdiest of forks for tough usage (better to get a solid fork for those use cases), not cheap, and some consider them light (since it’s hollow).
