I never write reviews of anything. But I feel compelled to, because I love the Reflex. I own two of them. I actually had TSA take one in the airport once. I bought another one while I was still in the security line. That’s how much I love it. I’ve had both my Reflex knives for at least 5 or 6-years. I’ve gone fishing, camping, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, and more with them dozens of times. The ring allows me to clip a carabiner to it and affix it to a backpack or belt loop, or I can lark’s head a long paracord loop in it and tie it off to a boat cleat, ladder, or whatever, without impeding blade function. I actually everyday carry a Reflex in an urban environment because the ring also allows me to put a finger through it and still make a fist with the blade locked in the open position. (God willing I never need to do that though.) I own a few other, much more expensive, knives made with exotic steel and blah blah blah. They’re fun to show off, but the Reflex is like my American Express card, I never leave home without it. It’s not a super high carbon steel with a lot of Vanadium, so you have to sharpen it every couple of months, but if you love it, it will love you back. I live a mile from the beach, everything rusts here. Not a speck of discoloration or rust on either one of my Reflex knives. For the money, you can’t go wrong with the performance and versatility of a Reflex. In fact, buy two.
